BoosterThon is coming on February 12 – March 1. This year Boosterthon has a new program called DanceFit that gets students moving (no dance skills required) as they raise funds to help their school! DanceFit was created in partnership with the Just Dance video game. This fundraiser will culminate in a 35 minute, action-packed dance and fitness activity that students will love. DanceFit can be implemented virtually or socially distanced on campus, which allows us the opportunity to include everyone. Students will earn pledges per minute danced at the finale event. Leading up to the finale students will all watch videos, either at school or home that encourage and teach character traits like care, grit, courage, etc. The event is open to A/B students and our full virtual families who will be back in the building one day.
This past year has been unprecedented. But we find ourselves in the position of raising funds for our school in an uncertain time. The PTO works so hard to raise money, not for the PTO – but for the students. PTO pays for busses for field trips, art enrichment, school improvements, teacher grants. This year we have diverted funds that were planned for other projects to purchase PPE, install a water bottle filler and fence in a new playground area to allow for more spacing. Our fundraising goal is to fund the purchase and installation of bulletin boards throughout the hallways for student work displays. Did you know our halls have no bulletin boards? With your help, we can fix this and fund a fantastic 21-22 school year! I hope you can see the light at the end of the tunnel and remember that what we are able to raise this year will fund the next year. If your family isn’t in a position to give, that is okay! The PTO has been fiscally conservative to put us in the position to meet this goal and still continue supporting the other activities that will be back one day. But if you can help, every little bit makes a big difference. Stay tuned for more details leading up to the event and thanks for showing up for our school.
Thanks again –
