Kindergarten students work in centers to develop pre-reading skills through beginning phonics that focus on learning letter/sound relationships.  Students practice writing letters and many students begin writing about their pictures they’ve drawn.  Math skills develop as students explore the relationships between numbers and objects, find objects that are alike and different and make patterns.  Singing songs helps students with rhyming skills and beginning letter sounds.
